Bob Bryar out of My Chemical RomanceAlternative Press - Scott Heisel on 3/3/10 @ 10:30 PM - altpress.com
What's been rumored for weeks has now been confirmed: Drummer Bob Bryar is no longer a member of My Chemical Romance. Guitarist Frank Iero confirmed the split on his blog, writing in part:"As of 4 weeks ago, My Chemical Romance and Bob Bryar parted ways. This was a painful decision for all of us to make and was not taken lightly. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors and expect you all to do the same."Bryar started off as MCR's drum tech and took over the throne in mid-2004 from original drummer Matt Pelissier. He can be heard on 2006's The Black Parade.Iero also updated fans on the status of MCR's upcoming fourth album, writing, "We have been writing some very powerful new songs so this week the four of us entered the studio once again, and what has been ending up on tape each night is some of the most exciting and honest work we have ever created." Although originally expected out this spring, there is currently no title or release date for the band's new album.
