My Chemical Romance's new video for 'Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na)' is an apocalyptic roller-coaster ride in the vein of Mad Max. As you can see from the exclusive-to-AOL photos, the video also features members of the band Mindless Self Indulgence, with guitarist Steve, Righ? as the DJ, "Dr. Death Defying," and vocalist Jimmy Urine as the main evil villain "Draculoid" who, along with his henchmen, is out to take down My Chemical Romance. Not only is the video for 'Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na)' an obvious reference to 'Mad Max,' there are countless movie and video game references throughout. As MTV points out, it also pays tribute to films like 'Blade Runner,' 'Easy Rider,' the TV show the 'A-Team' and even the Nintendo Entertainment System. With its shoot-out scene at the close, the video is left open-ended and we're left wondering if, much like the movies the video references, we'll see the characters returning for a sequel.







Frontman Gerard Way had this to say about the video "The vision for the "Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na) video came to me when I was in the desert this past January. We chased an album and a vision and the result is my best friends and I making art that we're excited for you to see."

Hello Friends,

Recently it seems as though every time we write to you guys we have bad news, and we apologize for that, but we've learned in life you can't have the sweet without the sour. As a band we have been very fortunate over the years that our sweet times have greatly outweighed the sour ones, and a great deal of that is owed to you, the fans. Which is why we wanted this news to come from us and not some bullshit gossip site.

As of 4 weeks ago, My Chemical Romance and Bob Bryar parted ways. This was a painful decision for all of us to make and was not taken lightly. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors and expect you all to do the same.

We also wanted to give you all a quick heads up on how the record is progressing. We have been writing some very powerful new songs so this week the four of us entered the studio once again, and what has been ending up on tape each night is some of the most exciting and honest work we have ever created.

Como banda hemos sido muy afortunados en los últimos años ya que nuestros tiempos dulces han superado en gran medida los agrios, y una gran cantidad de estos se deben a usted, los fans. Es por eso que pensamos que la noticia devia que venir de nosotros y no un sitio de chismes de mierda.

Hace 4 semanas, My Chemical Romance y Bob Bryar se separaron. Esta fue una decisión dolorosa para todos nosotros de hacer y no fue tomada a la ligera. Le deseamos la mejor de las suertes en sus futuros esfuerzos y esperamos que todos hagamos lo mismo.

También hemos querido darles a todos un encabezado rápido, de cómo va el progreso de la grabación, hemos escrito algunas nuevas canciones muy fuertes por lo que los cuatro hemos entrado al estudio de grabación una ves mas en esta semana , y lo que finalmente ha quedado grabado cada noche, es de lo mas exitante y el trabajo mas honesto que hemos hecho
Esperamos que con esta carta se encuentren bien, los extrañamos ...
